The glamour of it all! New York! America!
I was so excited when Johnny Patience, Rebecca Patience & Bijan Sabet announced NYCWLK 1.0. New York is definitely my favourite city since first visiting there in 2013. To be going, meeting them & a whole host of other talented photographers was amazing. Knowing most of the participants online for a while prior to the walk made it all the more interesting to meet them in person.
I thoroughly enjoyed the film workshop lead by Johnny at the Leica Store Soho. I felt pretty comfortable with film going in but this really helped me really bring everything together. And hearing from Elan Cohen of Richard Photo Lab lead me to hand over developing & scanning duties of these precious rolls to them. I am so glad I did. Not only did I save time but they are truly the professionals when it comes to processing film.
A one day NYCWLK really turned into a four day NYCWKND for me. I was in the city from Thursday night to Monday and Thomas Skrlj, Cody Priebe & Jason de Plater were around the same time so we were able to hang out / shoot outside of the WLK. I also very much enjoyed wandering the city just my cameras and me.
